Challenge Quilts
Each year the East Cobb Quilters' Guild has a Challenge
Quilt for its members. Below are the rules for our next
Challenge, due March 2009.

NAME THAT TUNE |
Can you name that tune in 4 patchworks? 3 appliqués?
1 landscape? Or, perhaps another quilting technique?
The 2009 Guild Challenge is to depict your favorite song in
a quilt top.
The rules are simple:
-
The quilt top must represent a song title of your choosing.
-
You must use the challenge fabric in
the quilt top and it must be recognizable in at least
a 3-inch square in the top. (Challenge
fabric is available for purchase in fat-eighths during
monthly Guild meetings)
-
Must be quilted by machine, hand or both.
-
Size:
Width 30” to 60”
Length
30” to 60"
These sizes meet Knoxville AQS entry
criteria - We will vote on up to 8 quilts
from our challenge to be entered into the Knoxville
2009 show.
-
Each quilt must have a 4” sleeve
and a label on the back stating the name of the quilt
and the owner.
Quilts will be displayed and voted on during the March 2009
Guild meeting.
