Thursday Workshop In Person: Walking Foot Wonders with Christa Watson

During Christa’s Thursday Workshop, she will be focusing on walking foot quilting in Walking Foot Wonders.
Learn to stitch beyond the ditch and unleash the power of your walking foot to quilt modern or traditional designs. Walking foot motifs to be taught include: wavy lines, decorative stitches, irregular grids, large continuous spirals, several straight line variations, and more! You’ll leave class armed with the confidence that yes, you can quilt your own quilts! Christa will also include a discussion on basting, favorite tools and supplies that make the job easier, plus tips for putting it all together on a real quilt. Students should be comfortable with their sewing machines, and will practice on their own pre-basted fabric and batting samples.
Registration is open to all. Workshop registration opens to members on February 5, 2023 (reminder: members can only sign up for one of Christa’s workshops on this date). Registration opens to non-members (and members that want to register for a 2nd workshop with Christa) on March 5, 2023. This workshop is limited to 22 students. Registration is made by payment of the workshop fee and is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment must be made by credit card at the time of registration to secure your place in the workshop. Workshop Fee: $55 Members / $65 Non-Members
Cancellation Deadline is April 12, 2023 (You must notify programs@ecgq.com at least 14 days prior to the workshop to receive a refund – workshop fees are non-refundable after this date. Workshop registration is non-transferable.)
Deadline to register is 5 pm the day prior to the workshop (subject to availability).
Reminder: This workshop takes place at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) – please have your mask on before you enter the building – you may remove it in the classroom, but please wear it in any other space in the building (e.g. lobby and restrooms).
