Evening Meeting In Person: Focus On QuiltCon

QuiltCon 2023 is coming to Atlanta!  Candice Murray, ECQG Member and award winner at our 2022 quilt show, was slated to be our special guest lecturer.  However, Candice will not be able to join us.  She has graciously shared her program notes so that we can still present her lecture, along with her award winning quilts so that you can see them in person.

Candice was born and raised in Dalton, earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Valdosta State and enjoys a fulfilling career as a textile artist and pattern designer. In an attempt to recycle fabric from improv quilts, she discovered a new style that sparks her passion for quilting. This new design aesthetic led her to art quilting, exploring different ways to make 2d quilt art look 3-dimensional.  She calls her current series An Exploration of Post Modern Design.
